On 16th & 17th January 2021, TEN-CoMS organized ‘Visionaries 1.0’ an intercampus virtual startup contest. The participants of the contest were from Entrepreneurship, Social Advocacy and Entrepreneurship project. A total of 10 projects were shortlisted based on the business ideas, financials and BMC models.
For the participants and viewers guidance workshops, guest speaker session and mentorship sessions were conducted. The Jury Panel was provided by National Incubation Center(NIC).

Ms. Rozina Imtaiz (in-charge TEN-CoMS) welcome all the participants, guests, viewers and brief them about incubation Committee members, Advisory Board, Mentorship Board, and Student Entrepreneurship Society. Mr. Jalal Ahmed Khan (Senior Faculty) gave the opening speech, he gave insights about the entrepreneurship and motivated the teams with his past experiences. Later on, Student body of TEN-CoMS elaborated the rules to the teams
Ms.Bina ul Haq (International Expansion Consultant) took the Key Note speaker session, shared the examples of successful global entrepreneurs. Dr. Khalid Abbas( Co-Founder Kzetta Technologies AB) shared his own entrepreneurship experiences along with the traits and examples of successful entrepreneurs. They also took queries from the participants/viewers and provided them their expertise and guidance.
Workshop/Tainting session on Concept Note was conducted by Mr. Aqeel Gadit (Managing Director World Softech), Mr. Shoaib Malik (SVP-Head Islamic SME) conducted session on financials of startup and Mr. Subhan Sharif (Corporate Trainer) gave session on BMC model. Teams actively participated during the session and clear all their relevant queries.
All in all, four mentorship sessions were also conducted for the participants and viewers. All mentors themselves were entrepreneurs, they shared their experiences and provided the tips and the guidance for the successful startup. The mentors that were part of the session were Samiya Hameed (Founder Swank), Ghalib Hasnain (Founder Ghalib Hasnain Photography & Films), Sheikh Abdul Qadir (Projects coordination at HInopak Motors Limited), Khizer Ahmed (Founder of Hukumjanab.pk), Sadiq Amin (Director at NDFinteriors), Sukaina Abbas (Founder Enchante), Dr. Faheem Bukhari(Assistant Professor Iqra University), Ghufran Khalid (Founder and CEO – LocalMenu technologies), Faisal Sultan (Assistant Professor, KAZBIT), Izhar Abbas (Accelerator Manager and Investment Analyst at Accelerate Prosperity, Pak).
Dr.Arsalan Hashmi (HoD Finance depart.) gave the closing speech, He thanks the TEN-CoM team, the Key Note speakers, the Trainers, Mentors and Jury Panel for their guidance, Also appreciate the participation of KIET students.
Afterwards, the NIC Jury Panel announced team Togetherly as winner, and team Lettuce as runner up position.

WRITE UP OF IDEA GENERATION CONTEST
TEN-CoMS organized ‘Idea Generation Contest’ on 22 nd December 2022 at KIET, Auditorium Main Campus. The event started with the name of Allah. Dr. Adnan, Director CoMS welcomed the guests and shed some light over the efforts KIET is making in creating and developing an ‘Entrepreneurial Culture’ among the students. Ms. Aman (student) explained the rules for the participants and Jury. The event was managed well by TEN-CoMS Student Club. Guests from different universities incubation/entrepreneurship department were invited as jury. Along with the CoMS faculty, ORIC
Director, Syed Naveed Abbas & Head PDC, Humayun Vikar were also there to motivate the students.
There were around 25 teams from three campuses of CoMS, teams presented their ideas in front of the jury. Among them ‘Solar Mobile Charging Station’ was selected as winning team. President KIET, AVM (R) Mr. Usaid Ur Rehman visited the contest and at the end, shared his reviews about the event. The token of appreciation was also presented to all the Jury members and then refreshment was served.
KIET STARTUP CONTEST
TEN-CoMS conducted KIET STARTUP CONTEST on 9 th & 10 th of January at KIET Main Campus. It was a two-day contest event which included panel discussion & startups contest of students. Event started with the name of Allah. Dean KIET, Dr. Muzaffar Mehmood welcomed all and highlighted the effort KIET is making for promotion of entrepreneurship culture among students. After this, Chief Guest – Mukesh Kumar, Project Director, ITC-SMEDA GRASP Project focused on the need of utilization of local resources to build a business. A panel discussion started afterwards that included Mr. Abdul Mannan, CIO Bykea, Mr. Abdul Muqeet, Head of Commercial Bagallery, Mr. Furqan, Co-Founder of Ypay & Ahmed Rauf Essa, Founder Telemart. They discussed the challenges young entrepreneurs are facing and gave tips on how to overcome it. After this the first round of the contest started, students came up with Tech-startups, E-commerce startups and Service Startups. On Day 1, student startups were evaluated by the Jury Panel that included: Mr. Khurram Kalimi, Co-founder vinncorp, Mr. Ahsan Jabbar, CEO of AJ venture, Dr. Sundus, Manager Incubation NED, and Mr. Mairaj Zuberi, Director of Marketing at MFS. Second day’s event started with a panel discussion of incubators panelists. Mr. Andeel Ali, Head of Monitoring & Evaluation Department – NIC K, Mr. Burhan – Head of SSKIC (IoBM), and Mr. Moin – Manager ICCBS discussed about some of unrealistic expectation incubatees have with incubations and how incubatees can be successful by availing the resources available. Mr. Syed Zain CEO Fortify, Mr. Salman Ahmed, CIO Jaffer Brothers, Ms. Huda CEO & Founder at e- Magine were among the Jury panel. A total of eight startups were shortlisted for day 2. Suggestion and guidelines were provided by the Jury. ‘Zero Waste’ from CoMS was the winner team, while ‘Car Wash’ from CoMS came as runner up. Chief Guest, Ms. Maheen Salman, Executive Senior VP KATI appreciated the students’ efforts & focused on the need of academia and industry linkage. At the end, Ms. Rozina Imtiaz thank all the guest for taking out their precious time and announced closing of the event.
